What is a Showit Website?

Showit is a drag-and-drop website builder and platform that provides total creative freedom over the layout and design of your website. All without a single line of code!  You can literally drag and drop things exactly where you want them. (See demonstration in the video above.)

Showit was originally launched as a website builder for photographers, but it is now marketed to anyone who wants complete creative control of their website.

Showit allows you to design your site in a user-friendly visual editor. There are no column or row restrictions at all but the most unique feature of Showit is that it uses WordPress for the blogging part. This is one of the huge features (and benefits) that separates Showit from platforms like Squarespace, Wix, etc.  

Is Showit part of WordPress then?

No. Showit is a WordPress alternative for designing your website. Showit hosts your website for you, allows you to design without any code or tech knowledge, and provides you with unparallel customer service. You do not get any of this with WordPress. The only two things you pay for are your domain name and the monthly Showit hosting fee.

If you use Showit to design your website and want a blog on your site, then you will use WordPress for writing your blog posts. This is a HUGE benefit!

This is what exclusively separates a Showit website from other platforms like Squarespace, Wix, etc. Also, with Showit you do not have some of the layout constraints of Squarespace or other similar website builders. So if you are wondering is Showit better than Squarespace or these other builders then my answer is a definite YES!

Is Showit a good website builder?

I was very curious to see firsthand if Showit was as good as it seemed and I knew there was only one way to find out. I dove in and redesigned my entire site on Showit over the summer.
