Wondering whether your website is mobile responsive? In this post, I discuss why your business must have a mobile-friendly site and I’ll show you three different ways to test your website to check if it is mobile responsive.

As a mom you are constantly adapting to changes in your life and your children’s lives as they grow, right? Being able to easily and automatically adapt to these different stages is essential for your growth, survival, and success.
The same can actually be said for your business website.
When a website is “responsive” it means that the design adapts to the screen size it is being viewed on, whether that be a desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone.
Have you ever tried looking at a website on a smartphone or tablet that was not mobile responsive? How long did you stay on it? Probably not very long, as it’s not a pleasant experience.
If your site isn’t responsive to different devices, you are excluding a large majority of your ideal audience. This means you are missing out on a ton of potential customers and clients!
You want to do everything that you can to increase your visibility in search engine results and since Google is by far the most popular search engine, you need to be on Google’s good side. This now means having a mobile responsive website.
If you want to check to see if your website is mobile responsive there are a few really easy ways to test your site.
Click here, then simply paste your url into the box and click test.
If you get a green light your website is good to go!
If you get a red light, then it tells you what issues need to be addressed.
Google Chrome has a set of web developer tools built directly into it. When using this browser, you can click F12 on your keyboard to bring up a screen that allows you to see what your website looks like on different devices.
There is a drop-down menu on the top left-hand side (Circled in the graphic below) that allows you to change the device and view your site on that device’s screen size.
This is my go-to check whenever I am building a site or updating pages for a client.
If your WordPress site is not currently responsive then the first thing you need to do is to check your theme.
You must use a mobile responsive theme on your WordPress website.

In today’s day and age, your website needs to look great and perform well on all devices. It will help you get more traffic, a lower bounce rate, and more leads, which lends itself to more sales.
According to sweor.com, 85% of adults think that a website when viewed on a mobile device should be as good or better than its desktop website. Do you agree?
